JORUNN KRISTIANSEN COE

Jorunn combines realism and impressionism in her rich and lively oil paintings.
Her still life, floral and lanscape paintings resonate with freshness and energy.

Jorunn was born in Norway and came to the United States in her late teens
representing Norway in the Miss Universe Contest.

She began oil painting at the Scotsdale Artist School, where she studied
floral painting with Heidi Moran.  She has studied landscape painting
with Robert Moore and Scott Chrisitiansen among others.

Jorunn's art is strongly influenced by her Nordic background with long
dark winters and the lush light summers.  She spent a great amount of
time on her grandparent's farm, where she learned to love the earth and it's
bounty.

People describe her work as lusciousness, others say it is touchable; you
walk right into the landscape.  One person explained Jorunn's art so
eloquently when she said:  "I understand now why I feel such a connection
to Jorunn's Art.  It is because she is the flower, the tree, the mountain and
the river of the landscapes that she paints.  You can see her soul coming
through the canvas".

Jorun's work has appeared in several art exhibits.  Her work hangs in private
collections in the U.S. and Europe.
